Oleksandra refers to the theme of Sleeping in her practice in search of an inner place of peace and balance.

‘I came across the idea of the Sleeping series during long sleepless nights in Kyiv, when air defense alarms give you no time for restful sleep. People have to go to bomb shelters in case of an air raid, but when exhaustion takes over after weeks of such nights, it seems like the safest place on earth is your own bed, that your sheets will protect and the only way to find peace of mind is sleep
